Aesthetically speaking, the new lil surf film Electric Blue Heaven by Globe is pretty dard and the surfing is next level, but I’m at a quandary as to why - in a film in which every detail is seemingly intended - a fella with Christian and communist iconography adorning his clothes and pasted on his board is lordin’ it up in a petro-chemical capitalist Mecca such as the U.A.E. whilst surrounded by ditzy babes and lamborghinis.

Also, if today’s 24 hour social media cycle is anything to go by, Globe have got this buzz farming thing sussed.
